Fall 2010 Voice Class for Adults will meet the following 10 Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-7:30pm:

Class Dates: September 2, 9, 16, 23, October 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18, December 2

Cost: $180

Voice Classes cover:

Developing skill & precision w/vocal exercises
Developing breath control and support
Developing healthy tone production
Developing musical ability by understanding key signatures, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, etc...
Performance Experience

A strong emphasis is placed on a healthy technique and understanding of the voice. The goal is to ensure that each singer fully understands vocal production and vocal health and is able to utilize these skills to develop a natural, organic approach to singing. In addition, each student is exposed to various aspects of music theory and appreciation by means of music-listening, sight-reading development, worksheets and assigned reading.

Students will gain exposure to a variety of different genres of music and learn various selections of repertoire representing them:

Classical, Broadway, Jazz, Sacred, Popular

The teacher will select an age/level appropriate piece for the student to work on and the student may bring in their own selections with teacher approval.
